Degradation Pathways of Dimethylmercury in Natural Waters
Doctoral dissertation, Stockholm University, 2022
My doctoral research investigated the environmental fate of dimethylmercury in natural waters. I identified a previously unrecognized degradation pathway involving reduced sulfur species, established the importance of photochemical degradation, and developed analytical and experimental approaches for reliably studying this volatile and highly toxic compound.
